
Shoulder Bacon
Ribeye bacon is from the premium shoulder cut of the pig with the rind removed. It’s a very versatile bacon best cooked in a medium-hot pan or under a hot grill. Hellers Ribeye is a high quality, well-priced product that’s great for brunch, in a BLT sandwich or roll, quiches, or in the classic NZ bacon and egg pie. Cooking InstructionsUnder the grill: place on grill tray below heat for approx. 3-4 minutes each side. In the frying pan: brown for approx. 10 minutes at a medium heat turning frequently. In the oven: heat oven to 200ºC. Bake for 12-18 minutes, no turning necessary. |
