We’ll make it easy for you. We will arrange to have the sausages ready for you to collect from your nearest New World or Four Square supermarket and we’ll include a few food-handling tips to make sure our sausages are the best they can be. We’ll even send you a flash apron so your chefs look the part.

We want every cent raised to go to your school, and your profits not to be dented by costs, so we have a few suggestions.

We will donate the sausages and hope you can find someone to donate the bread to wrap them in. This could be several families each donating a sliced loaf, we ask that you do not approach the store when picking up the sausages to donate the extra supplies.

It would also be great if some school families could donate the sauce and onions for this
quintessential Kiwi treat.

We’d like you to put up a banner at your school saying “Hellers – Sausages for Schools, proudly supporting NZ schools”. It might even be an art project, but we’d like you to do it
and send us some photos.

Finally, we want to help you raise the most money we can, so we ask that every SAUSAGES FOR SCHOOLS sausage is sold for $2. We’ve done a lot of research into this and sausage-lovers the country over have told us a Hellers sausage in bread, with sauce and maybe onion, is worth every cent of $2. Even more so if every one of those 200 cents is supporting a school! Once your event is over, we want you to tell us how much you raised, so we can add it to our project’s records.

We want to see how it all goes for you, so please take some photos of your fundraiser – with your chefs looking flash, the banner, lots of happy faces and full tummies – and send them to us with a few details, so we can put you on our website.
