Hellers has had another great result at the Great New Zealand Sausage Competition picking up two gold and two silver medals for our range. We're really proud of the quality and taste of our products and these results prove that a large producer can compete and win against the best gourmet and niche sausage makers in the country. Gold medals were awarded to any sausage that achieved 95% or higher in blind tasting by the judges. The highest ranking gold medallist in each category was then named category winner.

Hellers' free-farmed middle and ribeye bacon, which was launched earlier this year, has won the Convenience and Meal Solutions Award at the New Zealand Food Awards, in the category of Food Product Innovation.
Hellers' founder and director Todd Heller said he is thrilled with the Award as it recognises Hellers’ commitment to developing its own new products, flavours, technology and packaging.
“We did a lot of research to ensure our bacon was the product of choice for consumers because we know people are taking a greater interest in where their food comes from. Our free farmed bacon is not only the best presented bacon on the shelf, but it cooks beautifully and it’s grown in circumstances people can feel good about,” he says.
